ABOUT US

La Geniale Perle Foundation (LGPF) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) whose initiative is to bring hope to underprivileged children, providing them with well-rounded education, thereby raising a generation of change agents and nation builders while giving a higher percentage of our focus on the Girl Child and underprivileged Women in Africa. LGPF provides educational support to the orphaned and impoverished children by offering them scholarship from Nursery school to the University Level irrespective of their origin or religion. We work with communities, governments and members of society to remove barrier to girls education and promote gender equality in education in most challenging settings. Our scholarship programmes support day and boarding where we provide shelter, feeding, clothing, primary healthcare, and general welfare to our beneficiaries, i.e., girls and boys.LGPF is committed to ensuring special protection for the disadvantaged children. At LGPF, our operation is free of discrimination. The most disadvantaged children are given the greatest priority in everything we do. We aim to promote equal rights of women and girls and to support their full participation in economic, social, and political development of their communities.

Why Is Education Our Focus?

Education is the process of providing information to an inexperienced person to help him/her develop physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, spiritually, politically and economically. Education is the process through which individuals are made functional members of their society (Ocho, 2005). It is a process through which the young acquire knowledge and realizes their potentials and uses them for self-actualization, to be useful to self and others. It is a means of preserving, transmitting, and improving the culture of the society. In every society education connotes acquisition of something good, something worthwhile. Education is one of the fundamental rights of individuals.

Objectives

We seek to ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes. This foundation will aide to eliminate gender disparity in education and ensure equal access to all levels of education especially for the women and girls.
