Every program we run starts with the same question: what is standing between this girl and the life she wants? Then we get to work — with families, teachers, and the girls themselves.

Flagship

The Perle Scholarship Program

Our flagship. Full scholarships covering school fees, uniforms, books, exam registration, and safe transport — from primary school through university. Every scholar is paired with a mentor from her own community.

In 2024 we supported 100 scholarship girls across nigeria, with a 96% retention rate and 88% pass rate on national exams.

Advocacy

Rights & Protection Circles

Community-led dialogue circles that bring imams, priests, mothers, fathers, teachers and girls into one conversation about early marriage, violence, and the right to say no.

Since 2021 we have delayed marriage for over 250 girls and trained 240 community champions who continue the work after we leave. When cases require it, our legal-aid partners step in at no cost to the family.

Health

Dignity Kits & Wellness

Menstrual hygiene, reproductive health education, and mental-health support delivered in girl-only safe spaces. In many of our communities, a period still means missing four school days a month. We refuse to let biology cost a girl her education.

Every scholar receives a year's supply of reusable pads, underwear, and a private consultation with a trained nurse — plus access to on-call mental-health support in French, Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa.

Livelihoods

Vocational & Entrepreneurship Track

For girls whose paths don't lead through university, we offer a 12-month vocational track: tailoring, catering, cosmetology, agri-processing, and small-business finance. Every graduate leaves with a certified skill, a starter kit, and a micro-grant to launch her own venture.

60 women-led businesses have been launched through this track since 2018 — collectively employing another 30 people.

Future skills

Digital Literacy & Coding Clubs

Three fully-equipped computer classrooms and a Saturday coding club that has introduced 40 girls a year to typing, spreadsheets, web design and the basics of programming — skills that unlock the fastest-growing jobs on the continent.

Our top 3 graduates each year receive a laptop and a paid internship placement with one of our tech partners in Abuja and Lagos.

Common questions

How our programs work.

Selection is community-led. Local committees of teachers, elders and past scholars nominate girls facing the greatest barriers — economic hardship, orphan status, risk of early marriage — and interview each family. We prioritise the girls least likely to stay in school without support.

82 cents of every dollar reaches program delivery on the ground. 11 cents fund monitoring, evaluation and safeguarding. 7 cents cover administration and fundraising. Our audited reports are public — ask us for a copy any time.

Yes, indirectly. Our rights & protection circles include boys, brothers, fathers and community leaders — because change that leaves men out doesn't last. Our scholarships remain girl-focused because that is where the education gap is widest.

No. We are a secular non-profit that works with people of every faith and none. We partner with mosques, churches and traditional leaders because they are trusted voices in the communities we serve.
